Moonbug Entertainment will soon release two new Arabic-dubbed titles across Spacetoon channels for kids and families.
Spacetoon, the family-friendly content provider, producer, and broadcaster, has expanded its partnership with Moonbug Entertainment, by adding two new titles to the deal, Morphle and Oddbods, which will be available across Spacetoon TV channel, and Spacetoon Go online streaming service, in Arabic dubbing.
Through this partnership, Spacetoon is named the licensing agent for Morphle and Oddbods, responsible for licensing the brands in the MENA markets, and providing the market with kids’ products and merchandise.
Oddbods is a non-dialogue show featuring the madcap yet charming antics of seven unique and relatable characters – Jeff, Pogo, Newt, Fuse, Zee, Slick and Bubbles. Oddbods entertains and inspires children around the world, whilst celebrating individuality and diversity. The show was recently acquired by Moonbug Entertainment and has aired in more than 180 countries. The brand also has a presence on digital content platforms like YouTube, where it has amassed 28m subscribers and averages 26bn views across its sixteen YouTube channels.
My Magic Pet Morphle follows the fantastical adventures of Mila and her magical pet Morphle, who can transform into anything! A show centred around wish fulfilment and pretend-play exploration, it empowers kids to use teamwork, creativity and a sprinkle of logic to solve any problem. Kids are always in the lead with Mila, Morphle and friends coming together to protect the town and save the day!
Nicolas Eglau, Managing Director EMEA & APAC, Moonbug Entertainment, said: “We are thrilled to extend our partnership with Spacetoon to share our much-loved brands Morphle and Oddbods with their viewers. We look forward to working with the team at Spacetoon and the opportunities this might bring in this significant region.”
Morphle also has a presence in the digital world through its five YouTube channels, which approximately have over 32m subscribers, and over 14bn views. The 35 channels provide the audiences with Morphle content in different languages.
The markets in MENA are getting ready to receive Morphle and Oddbods merchandise by Q2 2023, while the localised and dubbed content will start running on the Spacetoon TV channel and Spacetoon Go online streaming service by the same period.
Spacetoon has also revealed plans to bring more international and demanded brands to MENA, through content and licensing.
