'Arcadian', directed by Benjamin Brewer, is an action horror-movie starring Nicolas Cage.
SPI International has announced that the Nicolas Cage-led film Arcadian will be released theatrically in Israel and the Netherlands. The movie will premiere in Israel on July 4, following the success of Beekeeper and Bandit, which have contributed to SPI International’s strong box office performance this year, in collaboration with local partner Red Cape. The film will then debut in the Netherlands on August 28, through SPI’s partnership with Just Entertainment. Additionally, SPI has secured rights for the Dutch-speaking region of Belgium (Vlaanderen), with a theatrical release date to be announced soon.
Hubert Ornass-Kubacki, Head of Content Sales at SPI International, said: “After its Hungarian release, we are delighted to bring the adrenaline-boosting Arcadian to new territories. Along with Red Cape, our long-standing partner, we continue bringing great entertainment to local audiences in Israel. As one of the leaders in worldwide content distribution, we are really pleased to connect audiences through shared entertainment. This summer Arcadian will also bring excitement to audiences in the Netherlands. Together with our local distribution partner Just Entertainment, we will provide a great experience for thrill seekers.”
Arcadian, directed by Benjamin Brewer, is an action-horror film featuring Nicolas Cage as a father striving to protect his two teenage sons in a post-apocalyptic world. The story follows Paul (Cage) and his sons, Thomas and Joseph, who live a peaceful life by day but face nightly terrors from ferocious creatures. When Thomas is late returning home from visiting a nearby farm girl, Paul ventures out to find him, risking his life. A nightmarish battle ensues, leaving Paul gravely injured. The twins must then use their courage and everything their father has taught them to survive the night and keep him alive.
