Saudi Research & Media Group and Anghami have joined forces to celebrate MENA achievements at the Cannes Lions Festival of Creativity.
SRMG and Anghami hosted MENA Night, an exclusive celebration for the region’s diverse creative talents, industry representatives, and Cannes Lions award winners.
Anghami introduced their headline act DJ Fady Ferraye who shared the stage with emerging MENA-based DJs Biirdperson, Loush, and Samee3 Lamee3 from MDLBeast, the Saudi music entertainment company.
Guests were also treated to an exclusive viewing of NFT art from regional artists and creatives including Abdullah Albakri, Alaa Balkhy, Amro Bogari, and Rex Chouck. The gallery is curated by Nuqtah, the person behind the web and mobile app that features a user-generated museum of Arabic calligraphy and typography.
Commenting on this inaugural event, Jomana Rashed AlRashid, Chief Executive Officer of SRMG, said celebrating the MENA representation at Cannes Lions was an opportunity to show the world the incredible talent and innovation that comes from the region.

The panels featured experts and changemakers in the media and creative industry; Sir Martin Sorrell, Founder of S4 Ventures; Eddy Maroun, Co-founder and CEO of Anghami; Dani Richa, CEO and Chairman of BBDO MENA and Pakistan; Fares Akkad, Regional Director of Meta MENA; Claudius Boller, Managing Director of Spotify MENA and South Asia (excl. India); and Burak Cakmak, CEO of Fashion Commission of Saudi Ministry of Culture, among others.
