Starring Sonequa Martin-Green, and Michelle Yeoh, Star Trek: Discovery is set a decade before the five-year mission of the Enterprise under the command of Captain James T. Kirk, the USS Discovery uncovers new worlds and lifeforms as one Starfleet officer learns to understand all things alien.
Commander Michael Burnham (Sonequa Martin-Green) finds herself aboard the U.S.S. Discovery commanded by Captain Gabriel Lorca (Jason Isaacs), who is mandated to defeat the Klingons. As the Discovery tries to find a way to win the war against the Klingons, Burnham embarked on her personal quest for redemption.
Star Trek, one of the most iconic global television franchises, returns to television 50 years after it first premiered with Star Trek: Discovery. It will follow the voyages of Starfleet on their missions to discover new worlds and new lifeforms, and one Starfleet officer who must learn that to truly understand all things alien, you must first understand yourself. The series will feature a new ship, new characters, and new missions while embracing the same ideology and hope for the future that inspired a generation of dreamers and doers.
