Omantel subscribers with premium packages will be able to access StarzPlay free-of-charge for six months while those with basic plans will be wooed with discounted offers.
StarzPlay is now available on Omantel’s home internet plan, effective July 15, as part of a deal signed between the streaming service and the Omani telco operator.
All Omantel subscribers with an average monthly entertainment subscription of more than USD 67 will have access to StarzPlay free-of-charge for six months. Omantel customers with lower plans will be able to subscribe to StarzPlay at 50% off for a limited period.
“This is the main bundling deal we have done in Oman with Omantel,” Raghida told BroadcastPro ME.
“Previously, residents of the Sultanate of Oman could pay for a StarzPlay service through Omantel and that was the only relationship we had with the telco operator. With this new deal, Omantel has bundled StarzPlay with their existing broadband plans. We see this as a great growth opportunity for StarzPlay in Oman and are certain that their existing and new subscriber base will want to benefit from these new offers.”
