The American crime drama series 'Power' wrapped up its sixth and final season in February.
StarzPlay has announced that the streaming platform is set to premiere the first of the four planned spinoffs of Starz Original drama series Power exclusively in the MENA region.
Titled Power Book II: Ghost, the crime-drama will premiere exclusively on September 7. StarzPlay will be adding every new episode of the show on a weekly basis, the same time as it airs in the US.
The popular series Power wrapped up its sixth and final season in February. Power tells the story of James St. Patrick (Omari Hardwick), a ruthless, intelligent drug dealer under the street name “Ghost”, who wishes to leave the criminal world to pursue legitimate business interests as a nightclub owner. St. Patrick aims to balance these two lives while avoiding police capture amid a crumbling marriage and shifting economic alliances.
Power Book II: Ghost picks up as Tariq St. Patrick grapples with the aftermath of the ending that occurred in the Power finale. Tariq splits his time between Ivy League school and hustling to pay Davis MacLean, the lawyer who is Tasha’s only hope. This eventually leads Tariq to turn to the drug trade to pay for his mother’s legal fees a path all too familiar.
The 10-episode series will see a host of new characters, including powerful allies like Method Man’s Davis MacLean and potential foes like Mary J Blige’s Monet Tejada, have joined the much-loved cast.

Blige as Monet Stewart Tejada, Shane Johnson as Cooper Saxe, Gianni Paolo as Brayden Weston, Quincy Tyler Bernstine as Tameika Washington, Daniel Bellomy as Ezekiel ‘Zeke’ Cross, Paige Hurd as Lauren Baldwin, Cliff “Method Man” Smith as Davis MacLean, Melanie Liburd as Caridad ‘Carrie’ Milgram, Justin Marcel McManus as Jabari Reynolds, Woody McClain as Cane Tejada, Lovell Adams-Gray as Dru Tejada and LaToya Tonodeo as Diana Tejada.
Power Book II: Ghost is executive produced by creator and showrunner Courtney A. Kemp via End of Episode and Curtis “50 Cent” Jackson through G-Unit Film and Television.
