The fights between Floyd Mayweather and ‘Dangerous’ Don Moore, Anderson Silva and Bruno Machado, Delfine Pasoon and Elhem Mekhaled and Badou Jack and Hany Atiyo will begin on May 14 starting 10PM UAE time
In an ambitious move to bring more original programming to its subscribers, StarzPlay has announced that it will stream The Global Titans Fight Series, which will take place on the Burj Al Arab helipad, starting Saturday, May 14. The fight night is set to be headlined by Floyd ‘Money’ Mayweather and ‘Dangerous’ Don Moore. The fights will be streamed live and available free-of-charge to StarzPlay subscribers.
Five-time world champion Floyd Mayweather, who has never lost a fight ever and the ‘Dangerous’ Don Moore, who has never fought an opponent with a winning streak, will headline the event in an exhibition fight.
Having retired from professional boxing in 2017, Floyd Mayweather’s last professional fight against icon Connor McGregor resulted in a win for Mayweather by total knockout in round 10. Post his retirement, Mayweather took on YouTuber Logan Paul in a much-anticipated exhibition fight in June 2021, which exceeded 1m pay-per-view buys. Further, amongst the top 10 highest-grossing PPV boxing fights of all time include five fights featuring Mayweather with four them making it to the top ranking.
Going head-to-head in additional exhibition fights are current UAE Warriors lightweight champion Bruno Machado who will take on retired UFC icon, Anderson Silva, and former two-time world champion boxer Badou Jack, who will go up against Hany Atiyo from Egypt. Delfine Parsoon, former WBC female lightweight champion will compete with Elhem Mekhaled, who has held the European female super-featherweight title since 2018.
