StarzPlay, the subscription video on demand (SVOD) service in the MENA region, has announced that it will stream UFC Fight Night scheduled to take place at Etihad Arena in Abu Dhabi on August 3, 2024. This event marks the 18th UFC event hosted in Abu Dhabi since UFC 112: INVINCIBLE in April 2010.
The event is presented in partnership with the Department of Culture and Tourism – Abu Dhabi (DCT Abu Dhabi), underscoring Abu Dhabi’s commitment to attracting global audiences and showcasing its appeal. This collaboration highlights the emirate’s growing reputation as a hub for international sports and entertainment.
The action-packed night will begin with prelims at 8 PM, followed by the main card at 11 PM. The main event features a bantamweight bout between Cory Sandhagen and Umar Nurmagomedov. Other notable fights include a light heavyweight clash between Johnny Walker and Magomed Ankalaev, and a featherweight showdown between Alex Caceres and Giga Chikadze. The prelims will showcase rising stars like Shavkat Rakhmonov versus Neil Magny in a welterweight bout and Amanda Ribas against Angela Hill in a strawweight contest.

Emirati fighter Mohammad Yahya, the first Emirati to compete in the UFC, will return to the Octagon to face Brazilian Kaue Fernandes in a lightweight bout. Yahya, with a professional record of 12-4, will be fighting in front of his home crowd, aiming for his first UFC victory.
