Submissions are now open for the 2013 Sundance Film Festival. Every year, 200 films are selected for exhibition from nearly 12,000 submissions. More than 50,000 people attend the event and screenings in Park City, Salt Lake City, Ogden, and Sundance, Utah.
Since it was founded by Robert Redford in 1981, Sundance Institute has always provided a space for independent artists to explore their stories free from commercial and political pressure. With year-round creative and financial support for the development of original work for the screen, Sundance has become internationally recognised in discovering talented, independent artists across the globe.
Official submission deadline for short films is Monday 27 August with an entry fee of $40. To submit a feature length film, the official deadline is Friday 31 August with an entry fee of $80. Late submissions will result in an increased entry fee.
Aspiring filmmakers from all corners of the globe are invited to submit their original work and can use Withoutabox, the online submissions system to do so. Withoutabox helps festivals streamline their entry process and boost their submission outreach internationally.
