The deadline to submit for the competition is October 18.
SundanceTV, owned and operated by AMC Networks, has partnered with BeIN Media Group to launch the first SundanceTV Shorts competition in the MENA region.
The competition is open to entrants from a number of MENA countries, providing a platform to showcase emerging filmmakers and original storytellers.
The contest is only open to individuals who have directed or produced a film (not companies). Films should be no longer than 15 minutes and must be delivered with English subtitles if English is not the spoken language.
All genres are welcome including, but not limited to, narrative, documentary, and animation. The deadline for submission is October 18.
The winners will be announced in November, with the winning movies airing on SundanceTV – exclusive to beIN subscribers. SundanceTV is available on channel 75 exclusively on beIN in the MENA region.
“The SundanceTV Shorts competition embodies the true spirit of the channel itself,” said Harold Gronenthal, Executive Vice President, Programming and Marketing for AMC Networks International. “It provides a platform for independent storytelling, and shines a spotlight on new and emerging talent.”
