The Plot Pictures aims to provide local talents with a platform to share their voices and introduce them to the international fora.
Plot Pictures, an independent narrative studio that develops, produces, and distributes long-form content, has announced its official launch as the first independent film studio in the GCC and MENAT. Starting March 2023, The Plot Pictures’ development team will accept pitches from screenwriters, filmmakers, and storytellers.
Founded by Pratixa Kanojia and Manasvi Gosalia, the studio aims to provide a platform for aspiring filmmakers, writers and storytellers to bring local stories to global audiences through a diverse range of content formats.
The focus is to bring out authentic local stories from the MENAT region to the global audience. The content will be distributed to a variety of leading OTT platforms, studio networks, streaming services, and TV networks around the world.
The selected projects will be evaluated and assessed by a development team and a group of collaborators to prepare the story for production and execution. Currently, The Plot Pictures has four new projects in development from KSA, Taiwan, India, and the UAE.
Pratixa Kanojia, Co-Founder & Producer of The Plot Pictures, said: “We aim to bring out the most authentic homegrown stories and provide the local talents with a platform to share their unique voices and introduce them to the International Fora. Besides creating new IPs, we at The Plot Pictures support filmmakers in the region through our line production experts who can service any production to create a wide range of films to Hollywood action features.”
The platform strives to create stories that represent the region through its language and settings by developing, financing, producing, and distributing its content(independent films, TV series, Web series, feature films) to leading OTT platforms, studio networks, streaming services, and TV networks worldwide.
Across its extensive production network, The Plot Pictures leverages production incentives offered across UAE, KSA, Lebanon, Georgia, Turkey, Egypt, Jordan, Southeast Asia, and North Africa to deliver optimal budgets for projects of any scale.
The Plot Pictures aims to bridge the gap between critical hyperlocal stories and global audiences.
