The festival will showcase films from a diverse range of countries, including Jordan, Egypt, Bahrain, France, Brazil, Japan, Sudan, Palestine, Oman and India, among others.
The Tripoli Film Festival has revealed the dates for its 11th edition, set to take place from September 19 to 25, 2024, in Lebanon.
This festival, which aims to enrich the local cultural scene and boost tourism in Tripoli, is supported by the SEE-Change Programme, an initiative by COSV, the European Community, and the Cultural Affairs Department of the US Embassy in Lebanon.
The festival has also unveiled its official film selections for the upcoming edition. The lineup includes 10 films in the Feature Film Narrative category, 13 in the International Short Film category, seven in the Feature Film Documentary category, seven in the Animation Short Film category, six in the Arab Short Film category and five in the Lebanese Short Film category.
Some of the films selected for the festival are Six Feet Over (Algeria), Goodbye Julia (Sudan), Inshallah a Boy (Jordan), Tadur (Lebanon), Big Kids (France), Keep (UK), Cat Funeral (Romania), Across (Italy), In Between (Saudi Arabia), Three Promises (Palestine), Tree (US), Objects Are Closer Than They Appear (Egypt), Amplified (Jordan) and A Beautiful Excuse For The Deadly Sin (Bahrain), among others.
