Although the actor has said that he will be joining the ‘Black Adam' cast, no further information on what role he will take in the film was available at the time of posting this story.
Tunisian-Dutch actor Marwan Kenzari, who played Jafar in the 2019 live-action remake of Aladdin, will work alongside US actor Dwayne Johnson in the new superhero movie Black Adam from DC.
The Tunisian-Dutch actor confirmed the news on his Instagram: “I am very honoured to be joining the great cast for DC’s Black Adam.”
Black Adam’s ensemble includes Noah Centineo, Aldis Hodge and Quintessa Swindell. The movie was initially scheduled for a December 2021 release, but has been pushed back owing to the pandemic. Production is looking to begin in April in Atlanta, but the film remains without a release date.
The thriller is being directed by Jaume Collet-Serra, who also directed Disney’s upcoming Jungle Cruise.
Black Adam, often viewed as the nemesis of Shazam, will be the star of the eponymous movie, with Johnson playing the title role.
