Prince Abdul Aziz Bin Turki will serve as President of the General Sports Authority and Turki Al-Sheikh has been appointed Chairman of the Entertainment Authority.
Saudi King Salman bin Abdulaziz Al Saud announced a major cabinet reshuffle December 27 that saw some key changes within the media and entertainment sector in the Kingdom.
Turki Al-Shabanah, who serves as Chairman of Rotana TV Channels, has been appointed Minister of Media. He replaces Awwad Alawwad, who has now been appointed a Royal Court advisor.
In other separate decrees, King Salman also announced that Prince Abdul Aziz Bin Turki Al-Faisal will replace Turki Al-Sheikh as President of the General Sports Authority, while Turki Al-Sheikh will serve as Chairman of the Entertainment Authority.
In other news, the Saudi King also announced the establishment of the Saudi Space Authority. Prince Sultan Bin Salman will head the Space authority.
