Turkish Radio and Television Corporation (TRT) has appointed Ibrahim Eren as its new Director General.
Before taking on this role, Eren was Deputy Director General of TRT since 2013. He worked on a wide range of projects at the company, including the launch Turkeys first international news channel TRT World in 2014.
Eren started his professional career working for media firms in arts and culture and, in 2008, went to work as a representative for Turkuvaz Media Groups ATV in the UK. He became director general of ATV Europe and deputy director of ATV in 2010 where he oversaw the restructuring of the channel and streamlined in-house production.
Eren is also the Chairman of the executive board of TIAK A.S (Television Audience Research Committee Joint Stock Company), a director of International Emmy and a member of the board of directors at Turk Telekom.
