Independent factual distributor TVF International has signed a series of sales agreements, expanding its reach across the Middle East and North Africa (MENA) region.
Al Jazeera Documentary has licensed a package of titles, including acclaimed environmental productions such as The Longest Day, The Disappearing Delta, and the documentary centred on carbon solutions, Decarbonise. Additionally, Al Jazeera Documentary has licensed Why Do We Even Work?, Era of Library, and Flight JK5022, a production by Secuoya Studios delving into the 2008 Spanair plane crash.
MBC Group has secured the rights to The World From Above, offering viewers aerial journeys across the globe. Additionally, MBC Group has licensed special episodes of the adventure series No Luggage, produced by Art Winner Productions.
Asharq News Services has acquired Your 100 Year Life, a health documentary highlighting the challenges of ageing populations, along with two aerial titles, Australia From Above and Finland From Above.
Alaraby has added an array of news and current affairs titles to its portfolio, including Get Real: Behind the Headlines and Ian Hislop’s Fake News: A True History. The network has also licensed the award-winning film Hurdle, focusing on Palestinian youth mastering parkour to overcome obstacles in Israeli-occupied Palestine. Other acquisitions by Alaraby include Mediacorp’s Secret Wars, a documentary following conflicts fought in cyberspace, and You See Monsters, which explores how a new generation of Australian Muslims employs art to combat Islamophobia.
