Ducktv is aimed at pre-school children from six months to four-year-olds with a mix of content created in-house.
Kids TV service Ducktv, operated by Mega Max Media, has signed a partnership agreement with Digital Virgo for distribution of the linear channel on its networks in Africa and the Middle East.
The channel has been launched through Molotov’s OTT service deployed by Digital Virgo in Bahrain, Egypt, Oman, UAE, Kuwait, Iraq, Senegal, Cameroon, Burkina Faso, and Côte d’Ivoire.
Ducktv is an educational programming proposition, aimed at pre-school children from six months to four-year-olds. The original and exclusive content is created in-house under the supervision of child psychologists and is designed to help children develop their cognitive, visual and auditory abilities as well as stimulate their emotional and intellectual development.
Commenting on the partnership, Iza Piotrowska, Director of Affiliate Sales and Business Development at Mega Max Media, said: “We are delighted to announce our partnership with Digital Virgo and the debut of the ducktv linear channel on its services. This cooperation will significantly expand the reach of the ducktv brand bringing our expertly curated, high-quality toddler’s content to new audiences in numerous territories in Africa and the Middle East.”
Vincent Taradel, Marketing Director at Digital Virgo, added: “We are pleased to support the expansion of this ambitious project in the Middle East and Africa territories. Thanks to this new collaboration we can enrich digital platforms we distribute such as Molotov. A success made of a strong telco’s partnerships networks worldwide, optimized monetisation strategy and high-quality content added to the service.”
The deal follows the launch of ducktv earlier this year on the streaming platform Molotov in France.
