Hamdi Ould Mahgoub, the Mauritanian Minister of Communication and Relations, visited the headquarters of the Arab Satellite Communications Organisation (Arabsat) in Riyadh, Saudi Arabia, to sign a transponder lease contract on Arabsat’s Badr-5 satellite. The agreement will enable the broadcast of the new Mauritanian television bouquet from a digital broadcasting platform, that will be built by Arabsat in Nouakchott.
