The Emirates News Agency (WAM) has embarked on a significant partnership by signing a media cooperation agreement with TV BRICS, the international network of media partners representing the BRICS countries, according to a report by WAM.
Signed virtually by WAM Director-General Mohamed Jalal Alrayssi and TV BRICS CEO Janna Tolstikova, the agreement sets the stage for a daily exchange of news content in multiple languages, including text, images, and videos.
This collaborative content will be disseminated across the platforms of both entities and shared with their global partners. Furthermore, it will be prominently featured in their respective news bulletins and distributed through various media outlets.
The agreement, signed virtually by WAM Director-General Mohamed Jalal Alrayssi and TV BRICS CEO Janna Tolstikova, paves the way for daily news exchange in various languages, including text, images, and videos.
Alrayssi hailed the partnership with TV BRICS as a pivotal step towards strengthening cultural and civilisational bonds between the UAE and the BRICS nations. He emphasised that the agreement aligns with the UAE’s steadfast commitment to promoting peace, development, and global prosperity, particularly following the country’s recent accession to the BRICS group.
Tolstikova expressed TV BRICS’ eagerness to deepen media collaboration with WAM, leveraging the UAE’s notable economic and humanitarian development endeavours on the international stage. Recognising the UAE’s pivotal role in global decision-making, Tolstikova affirmed TV BRICS’ readiness to actively participate in the Global Media Congress.
