Twofour Arabia has produced a special documentary film that will form a key part of Abu Dhabi Medias schedule for both Al Emarat and Al Oula channels on the 19th Ramadan (Thursday 17th July).
Sheikh Zayed, A Legacy Remembered is a commemorative documentary featuring new interviews and four specially commissioned poems marking the 10th anniversary of the passing of HH, the late Sheikh Zayed Bin Sultan Al Nahyan, founding father of the United Arab Emirates.
The programme centres around four main topics, HH Sheikh Zayed The Man, The Vision, The Nation & The People, with a new landmark poem in each, backed up by extensive archive and newly filmed interviews with people who have personal memories of Sheikh Zayed.
The documentary was produced in association with BP for whom Twofour Arabia has also produced three one-minute long vignettes which tell stories of BPs long association with the UAE. These will be screened in the commercial breaks of the documentary.
Jonney Steven, Head of MENA for Twofour said, We are honoured to have been asked to produce this important documentary for Abu Dhabi Media and to play tribute to HH, the late Sheikh Zayed Bin Sultan Al Nahyan.
Yara Awad, General Manager, Twofour Arabia added, This documentary is truly unique, juxtaposing poetry recitation and very personal testimonies to tell the story of the late HH Sheikh Zayed. We also hear for the first time emotional stories from our interviewees as they remember their encounters with HH Sheikh Zayed. The documentary as a whole has a rhythmic feel that takes the viewers on a journey through this great mans life and achievements.
This commission came after Twofour Arabia produced The Story of Abu Dhabi earlier this year, a 13 part documentary series which formed one of the most in-depth accounts of Abu Dhabis history on television, also told through oral first-hand accounts and extensive archive.
