Bay shot the film on Abu Dhabi while shooting for Netflix’s 6 Underground in Abu Dhabi.
Abu Dhabi’s media hub twofour54 has released a short film directed by filmmaker Michael Bay showcasing the beauty and diversity of Abu Dhabi’s landscape.
While shooting for Netflix’s 6 Underground in Abu Dhabi, Bay embarked on a helicopter adventure to capture Abu Dhabi’s landscape and landmarks.
In the video, available on twofour54’s YouTube channel, Bay showcases the Louvre Abu Dhabi, the Emirates Palace Hotel, Sheikh Zayed Grand Mosque, Ferrari World Abu Dhabi, as well as the dunes of Liwa desert.
Bay along with his cast and crew of 6 Underground, including Hollywood actor Ryan Reynolds, spent almost a month in the UAE shooting key scenes for the film across 24 diverse locations.
The film benefitted from Abu Dhabi Film Commission’s 30% cashback rebate while twofour54 Abu Dhabi provided full production services, including location assistance, permits and suppliers as well as catering, accommodation, travel and transportation.
