Twofour54 will showcase a collection of local creative projects directed by Emirati talent with the support of twofour54 at Abu Dhabis Qasr Al Hosn Festival. The festival that will take place from 11 to 21 February 2015 will be documented by twofour54s production unit.
As part of the programme, twofour54 will screen a series of its in-house productions including 13:37, Sunset State, Feeding Five Hundred, Dark Symphony, Bahar, Daddy ABC, The Orphanage, Waiting, Smaller than the Sky, Ice, Shadow and Emirati Expressions.
Maryam Al Mheiri, Chief Operating Officer of twofour54, said: As a leading hub for media in the region, twofour54 is delighted to be part of Qasr Al Hosn Festival to show continuous support to the countrys heritage and culture. Media platforms are an important way to share, celebrate and preserve culture and we are honoured to be involved in supporting a festival that showcases Emirati culture to all nationalities living in Abu Dhabi and UAE.
Al Mheiri added: We are proud to document the activities of the 10-day Festival to provide an experience that can be shared with those not able to experience the festival first-hand. twofour54s participation will not only document the activities of the Festival to be shared with the wider audience of the UAE but it will also attract potential media professionals and highlight the support we offer to Emirati talent through our existing twofour54 community of local and regional youth, which now has over 10,000 members.
Twofour54 will also host a stand entitled Setting Emirati Creativity in Motion by showcasing the countrys traditions and customs through film. The stand will showcase the vibrancy of a career in the media industry that plays a pivotal role in keeping culture and heritage alive and the options available to Emiratis, who can choose and pursue their career path through internships, volunteer work, training programmes and entrepreneurship schemes.
Twofour54 will display different projects it has supported, from TV and film productions to apps and comic books developed by community members. There will be a download station of creative labs latest apps: the digital e-book, My Moms Pretty Veil; electronic game, Red Bug; and comic book, Shaheen.
