A VIP premiere will also take place at Sir Bani Yas Island, Abu Dhabi, 4 May 2019 at 7 pm. The film, which includes 27 days of filming in three cities and 20 locations, was originally scheduled for release last September.
Written, produced and directed by Jacques Brown and shot by DoP Shane Cairn, the film follows self-made millionaire Killian who takes a vow of silence following a tragic event. The vow is disrupted by 12-year-old Zoe as she forces her way into his silent world with her larger-than-life persona while struggling to find her own voice in a world dominated by her mothers fame.
Starring in the film are Casey Shannon, Kris Fade, Angelica Bridges, Shantilly-Rose Demetri-Robertson, Christina Blunsum, Suzie Demetri Robertson, and Hanna Liatsko. The ensemble cast includes 29 different nationalities from local Emirati actors to actors from Colombia, Palestine, South Africa, Belarus and Canada.
The movie was shot in Abu Dhabi, on the island of Sir Bani Yas at the three Anantara resorts and at Anantara Eastern Mangroves, and on various locations in Dubai with an additional scene in London.
Speaking about the film, Brown said: A group of passionate and dedicated filmmakers joined forces to tell a beautiful story about love and discovering your inner voice. Not prepared to idly standby and wait for Hollywood or Bollywood to come knocking, they made it happen for themselves in the UAE. Everybody involved in the project has joined the team on an unpaid basis with a percentage share of the film from the sale and distribution thereof. Driven by their passion and belief in the story and their own talent, nothing is stopping them from achieving a common goal and reaching their dreams.
The team also includes a strong group of women in key roles with Suzie Demetri-Robertson as executive producer; Zeina Dahlan and Simran Madaan as producers, and Louise McConnell as associate producer.
