Regional distributor of broadcast and professional video equipment, United Broadcast & Media Solutions (UBMS) conducted a half-day workshop on February 15, showcasing the new S-360 from the ARRI SkyPanel range. The workshop was conducted by Richard Lackey, Product Manager, at the UBMS Training Academy in Dubai. Representatives from production houses and rental companies as well as filmmakers, videographers and lighting professionals attended the workshop.
Speaking to BroadcastPro ME, Lackey said: “The main reason for conducting this workshop is the arrival of the new S-360: SkyPanel. We have the first and only one in the region and wanted to introduce it to the industry. We had showcased the product in CABSAT as well.
“The ARRI SkyPanel has always been known for its tremendous output and large light aperture. The S-360 has expanded ARRIs LED soft light range with the largest and brightest SkyPanel to date. Not only is the S-360 powerful, but it is packed full of exciting features, making it one of the most versatile LED fixtures on the market.”
Commenting on his participation at the workshop, Richard Forrest, Head of Camera Department at film production solutions company, Dubai Film, said: “This workshop has allowed me to see the new S-360 up close. It seems like a fantastic product, the first one in Dubai. I was lucky not to be on a shoot today. The product has tremendous potential and I would be excited to use it given an opportunity.”
As per sources at UBMS, the product will start shipping by March 2018.
