Voot Select is the second subscription-based streaming service from Viacom18 and will go live on Viacom18’s VOD service Voot, which boasts of around 100m monthly active users.
Indian entertainment network Viacom18 is set to launch its second subscription-based streaming service called Voot Select. The new premium service will give users access to multi-genre marquee content experiences. The new business vertical under Viacom18 Digital Ventures will be helmed by Ferzad Palia, Head – Youth, Music & English.
The new service will go live on Viacom18’s VOD service Voot. With a content library of more than 65,000 hours across Viacom18’s network content, exclusive content around network shows and Voot Originals, the platform caters to varying needs of discerning audiences across segments.
Speaking about adding further scale to the digital business, Sudhanshu Vats, Group CEO & MD, Viacom18 said: “Subscription led business models are going to be the next big growth drivers in the years to come. Having established Voot as India’s second-largest premium AVoD platform, we think the time is apt for us to unveil our premium subscription offering, Voot Select. The new premium offering will bring more bespoke content to our always-on viewers.”
