The new service will operate alongside the company's free streaming service, Pluto TV.
ViacomCBS Networks International (VCNI), a division of ViacomCBS, is planning to launch a new premium international streaming service next year. The unnamed service will feature original shows from CBS All Access and Showtime including Halo, American Rust, Guilty Party and The Harper House.
A selection of content from ViacomCBS brands including CBS, MTV, Comedy Central, and Nickelodeon are also speculated to be part of the new service.
The streaming platform will start rolling out in international markets, starting with Australia, Latin America and the Nordic countries.
The new service will operate alongside ViacomCBS free streaming service, Pluto TV, which recently launched in Latin America countries, the UK and Germany.
In a statement, VCNI president and CEO David Lynn said: “Launching a super-sized premium streaming service will be a game-changer for ViacomCBS and can help us become as powerful a player in international streaming as we are in linear TV. We will market a world-class content offering at a very competitive price, and we’re convinced it will have significant appeal for audiences everywhere and strong growth potential in every market.”
