Ticket holders who choose to keep their tickets from the 2020 event will receive one complimentary ticket for a companion in 2021.
The inaugural VidCon Abu Dhabi has been postponed to December 8-11, 2021, the event organisers have announced.
Previously, the convention was scheduled to take place from March 25-28, 2020 at the Abu Dhabi National Exhibition Centre but was postponed to December this year due to Covid-19. And now, it has been postponed again.
In a statement, VidCon Abu Dhabi organisers said: “Our number one priority has always been and continues to be the safety and health of our attendees, sponsors, speakers, creators, and staff. Unfortunately, the current situation as a result of the pandemic has led us to make the decision to postpone the event.”
They continued: “VidCon Abu Dhabi will move from December 16 – 19, 2020 to December 8 – 11, 2021. Over the next several months, we will work closely with local authorities, health officials, and the venue to guarantee we are doing everything possible to create the best and safest experience possible for 2021.”
Ticket holders who choose to keep their tickets from the 2020 event will receive one complimentary ticket for a companion in 2021. Those who wish to request a refund instead have until October 8 to do so.
