UK-based company Vislink has launched its lightweight portable satellite antenna at CABSAT 2012, which is currently taking place at the Dubai International Convention Centre.
The Advent Mantis MSAT Man Portable Data Terminal is a highly portable tri-band satellite antenna system designed for rapid deployment in hostile environments, making it an ideal piece of kit for news agencies and regional rolling news channels.
Weighing just 12.5kgs it is suitable for secure and non-secure satellite communications and can be set up for use in just five minutes.
Our new satellite antenna has been extremely popular with visitors to CABSAT during the last two days. When we return to the UK we have around six demos to schedule with potential new customers and we are only on the second day of CABSAT, said Mark Anderson, marketing operations manager for Vislink.
Features include an X, Ka and Ku bands, 65cm reflector, mains or battery operation, more than 5Mbps data rate and graphical interface control.
