The initiative kicks off this April with Viu streaming 'Enter the Garden' on its platform.
Viu, the pan-regional OTT video streaming service by PCCW, has announced a strategic collaboration with Azuki, a global innovator in anime-driven decentralised IP and fan engagement, to expand its Web3 initiatives.
The partnership launches this April with Viu streaming Enter the Garden, an anthology created by Azuki in collaboration with creative producer Goro Taniguchi (Code Geass, One Piece Film: Red). This move strengthens Viu’s commitment to immersive storytelling and Web3-driven content.
Speaking about the collaboration, Lofai Lo, COO of Viu, said: “We are thrilled to embark on this journey with Azuki, whose strong digital presence opens doors for Viu to interact with a new generation of highly participatory viewers. By connecting our entertainment services with the dynamic Web3 ecosystem, we are catering to the evolving preferences of today’s audiences.”
Alex “Zagabond” Xu, CEO of Azuki, added: “Collaborating with Viu amplifies Azuki’s presence, introducing Enter the Garden to Viu’s vast global audience across 16 markets.”
The second episode, Enter the Garden: Fractured Reflections, is now available on Viu. This installment showcases the artistic brilliance of director Yukio Takatsu, animator Kazuto Nakazawa (Samurai Champloo, Kill Bill (Animation Part)) and series composer Taku Kishimoto (HAIKYU!!, BLUELOCK).
As part of its broader content strategy, Viu will integrate three of Azuki’s community NFTs into a spin-off digital comic. This project will be featured on TN7, a new content platform anchored by Viu’s first digital comic series, which encourages fan participation and co-creation.
To celebrate the partnership, Viu is hosting an exclusive giveaway. Fans can enter by following Azuki, Viu Singapore and TN7 on X, retweeting the giveaway post, and tagging friends. Prizes include exclusive Azuki merchandise such as the coveted Twin Tigers Jacket and a unique TN7 Digital Pack.
