Aspiring Arab comedians are invited to perform a skit and receive mentorship from seasoned comedians during Casting Night on August 11.
Vox Cinemas, in collaboration with the Emirati Comedy Club, has announced a three-part comedy series designed for aspiring comedians and comedy enthusiasts. The series includes two community-focused events: a Casting Night on August 11 and an Open Mic Night on August 23, aiming to discover and cultivate the next wave of Arab comedic talent.
The series will conclude with a Comedy Night, featuring performances by established stars from the Emirati Comedy Club. Aspiring Arab comedians are encouraged to register online for free by August 10 for a chance to perform live and receive mentorship from renowned comedians Bin Swelah and Ahmed Saif.
Open to all aspiring comedians, Casting Night offers a platform to showcase comedic skills. Whether it’s your first time performing or you’re a seasoned comedian, join the event on August 11 from 4:00 to 9:00 PM at Vox Cinemas City Centre Mirdif. Participants will present a 5 to 10-minute skit in front of the Emirati Comedy Club members, including Bin Swelah and Ahmed Saif. Selected talents will receive mentorship and an invitation to perform at the Open Mic Night. Registration is free, but slots are limited.
Top talents from the Casting Night will showcase their skits to a live audience on August 23 from 9:00 to 11:00 PM at Vox Cinemas City Centre Mirdif. The event is open to the public, and admission is free.
The series will wrap up with a Comedy Night, featuring top talents from the Emirati Comedy Club. Details about this event will be announced soon.
