The announcement follows the reopening earlier last week of VOX Cinemas in Dubai and Ski Dubai in compliance with government guidelines.
VOX Cinemas at City Centre Ajman has reopened as of Saturday, 30 May following the recent guidance by the Department of Economic Development in Ajman (Ajman DED).
VOX Cinemas has announced that it has undertaken extensive precautionary measures and, in addition to already stringent sanitisation standards, put in place enhanced safety protocols. Fogging machines are being used to disinfect auditoriums and staff are cleaning and sanitising surfaces after every guest interaction, paying particular attention to high touch points such as counters, POS and payment terminals.
New measures have been introduced to ensure that a safe distance is maintained throughout the guest journey such as installing instructional signage and deploying safety ambassadors to guide guests on best physical distancing practices. The capacity in the auditoriums has been reduced and seats in front of, behind and next to a guest’s selection will be left vacant to maintain physical distancing. The occupancy has also been decreased in other public areas such as restrooms and elevators. In adherence with government guidelines, all guests will need to wear and the operating hours have been aligned to mall opening hours.

Guests are encouraged to book online through the Vox website or the VOX iOS and Android apps. To further minimise physical contact and exposure, contactless payment options are available in all businesses. As an added precaution, it is also now mandatory for employees to wear masks and gloves, and all team members will be temperature checked on arrival for shifts.
