VOX Cinemas has inaugurated its 11-screen state-of-the-art cinema in Fujairah City Centre, its sixth location in the UAE. The newly-opened cinema offers fully digital screens with six of them being 3D-enabled. It is claimed to be the only cinema in the emirate to offer the VOX MAX 20-metre big screen and a luxury cinema experience. VOX Cinemas is now fully operational and showing a variety of Hollywood, Bollywood and Arabic films that cater to the growing and increasingly diverse Fujairah population.
The opening of VOX Cinemas sixth strategic location in the UAE reflects the wider vision of Majid Al Futtaim Ventures to expand its entertainment concepts across new markets in the UAE and the Middle East, said Ahmed Galal Ismail, CEO of Majid Al Futtaim Ventures. The expansion into the northern emirates addresses the relatively underserviced entertainment industry in Fujairah, and having invested the latest in cinematic technologies we are confident that VOX Cinemas in Fujairah City Centre will raise the benchmark for entertainment in the emirate.
The Big Screen
The 20-metre wide VOX MAX will boast Fujairahs largest cinema screen. The big screen concept also includes ultra-comfortable MAX VIP seats and Dolby 7.1 digital surround sound. In addition, VOX Cinemas is introducing another first, a new premium cinema concept called VOX Plus, which offers moviegoers the chance to watch movies in luxury with reclining seats in a more exclusive surrounding. VOX Plus also features a full restaurant-style menu, with delivery service directly to your seat. This is a new concept for VOX Cinemas and gives Fujairah residents the convenience to choose how they prefer to enjoy their movies.
This is VOX Cinemas sixth cinema in the UAE, and the first cinema for the Majid Al Futtaim Cinemas in Fujairah. This reflects Majid Al Futtaim Cinemas broader expansion plans that will see the company double its screen count by the end of 2013 by entering new markets including Beirut, Lebanon and Muscat, Oman in addition to further expansion across the UAE.
Highly anticipated blockbusters releasing this year at VOX Cinemas, Fujairah City Centre are G.I. Joe in 3D, Iron Man 3 in 3D, Fast & Furious 6, Man of Steel in 3D, Dhoom 3, Chennai Express and The Smurfs 2.
