Zimmer will create a unique composition that celebrates Vox's journey of bringing audiences together through the power of cinema.
Vox Cinemas, the cinema arm of Majid Al Futtaim, has announced a collaboration with Academy Award-winning composer Hans Zimmer to create an exclusive score for the brand. Designed to establish a signature sound for Vox Cinemas, the composition will enhance audience experiences across multiple markets where the company operates.
The score will be integrated into various touchpoints, including an upcoming brand campaign, in-cinema experiences and customer interactions.
Hans Zimmer has worked on over 500 projects across various media, with his films grossing more than USD 28bn worldwide. His career has earned him two Academy Awards, three Golden Globes, five Grammys, an American Music Award and a Tony Award, along with six Emmy nominations.
Speaking about his work for Vox Cinemas, Zimmer commented: “The Middle East holds a special place in my heart, as does cinema; it’s what truly moves me. I was genuinely excited to collaborate with VOX Cinemas, the region’s largest and most beloved cinema chain. Vox Cinemas’ commitment to creating magical moments for guests and the idea of creating a unique sound for the brand resonated as it beautifully illustrates how cinema connects us all. It’s at the heart of so many unforgettable moments, ones that are passed down through generations, just as Vox has done over the years.”
Music plays a crucial role in shaping the cinematic experience, evoking emotions and forging deep connections with audiences. When choosing a composer for this project, Hans Zimmer was the obvious choice, known for his ability to craft scores that transcend cultures and generations.
Zimmer’s composition will blend orchestral grandeur with regional musical influences, ensuring it resonates with Vox Cinemas’ diverse, multicultural audience. The collaboration will debut with the launch of the score in a brand campaign set to premiere across the region in mid-April 2025.
