The film starring Mohamed Ramadan and Nelly Karim will release in cinemas across Egypt on August 2 before region-wide release on August 10.
Vox Studios, the production arm of Majid Al Futtaim Entertainment, and El-Adl Group have released the trailer for their upcoming Egyptian feature film 3Al Zero.
The trailer, which was dropped over the weekend, garnered more than 2m views within the first 24 hours of its release.
3Al Zero is a drama about the boundless love between a father and son played by Egyptian superstar Mohamed Ramadan and child star Monzer Mahran who previously appeared in the music video for Aladdin Lamp. Boasting an all-star cast including Nelly Karim, Jumana Murad and Islam Ibrahim, the film portrays a story about struggle, perseverance and the great lengths a single father is willing to go to save his terminally-ill son.
The film is directed by Mohamed Gamal El Adl, written by Medhat El Adl and co-produced by Vox Studios and El-Adl Group.
Speaking about the film, Darine El Khatib, Vice President of Film Production, Majid Al Futtaim Entertainment, said: “We are excited to release 3Al Zero, which marks our first foray into Egyptian cinema and consolidates our commitment to produce original Arabic content. At Vox Studios, we are dedicated to bringing authentic homegrown films to audiences and believe that producing Arabic films is integral to the growing sustainable cinema industry. We are proud to collaborate with El-Adl Group to bring this poignant film to cinema screens across the region. Given the popularity of Egyptian movies, we are confident that it will resonate with moviegoers and be a success at the box office.”
Gamal El Adl, CEO of El Adl Group Multimedia, expressed his delight at El-Adl Group’s return to movie production with 3Al Zero. “We are proud to partner with VOX Studios to produce original Arabic content, developed with Arab audiences in mind. This collaboration is the first of many large-scale productions we have coming up, aimed at developing top-class regional cinematic content which we hope will be loved by audiences across Egypt and the Arab world,” El Adl added.
Across Egypt, 3Al Zero will be released on August 2 and across the GCC on August 10.
