As part of its ongoing investment in TV entertainment in the Middle East, Vuclip, a premium video-on-demand service provider for emerging markets, has partnered with Ooredoo Qatar to launch a browser-based video on-demand service for its mobile customers. The partnership makes available a customisable playlist of more than 1.7 million international and local videos to the Qatari telco’s subscribers on Ooredoo Supernet.
Vuclip content includes international and local clips in 34 languages. Its Dynamic Adaptive Transcoding technology claims to offer customers an un-buffered viewing experience.
Highlights of the service include offering customers the ability to maintain a personalised playlist consisting of popular videos in a range of languages, including Arabic, English, Hindi and Tagalog.
