Through a partnership with media production house, Aroma, Vuclip will provide subscribers with seamless access to popular Arabic content during Ramadan. Viewers will also enjoy access to shows such as the second season of acclaimed Egyptian comedy Youwmeyat Zowga Mafrousa, as well as dramas such as the highly anticipated Al Khoroog. In addition to Dalia El Beheiry and Dorra, these shows will see some of the biggest stars from across the region, such as Zafr el Abdeen, Sherif Salama and Rajaa El Geddawy, entertain legions of their fans on the go.
Also available for viewing will be the comedy series Nelly We Sherihan, season two of the popular comedy title from Ramadan 2015 Lahfa, starring the two daughters of renowned Egyptian comedian Sameer Ghanem: Donia Sameer Ghanem and Emy Sameer Ghanem. The cast also includes stars such as Mahmoud El Guindy, Salwa Khattab and Bayoumy Foad, as well as other guest stars.
Additionally available for viewing will be Afrah Al Qobba, a drama based on the novel of Nobel Prize Winner Naguib Mahfouz. This is anticipated to be a huge success. The drama stars Mona Zaki, Sayyed Ragab, Syrian star Gamal Suliman, Sabreen, Rania Youssef, Sawsan Badr and many more.
This builds on last years success which saw Vuclip introduce its Ramadan simulcast initiative for the first time, and comes as Vuclips latest Global Video Insights reveals that 50% of UAE respondents consider freshness in content a must-have feature for an OTT player.
