The collaboration is designed to engage football fans by providing a continuous stream of immersive content on the Vuz platform, offering an entirely new dimension to experience LaLiga.
Vuz, the immersive social app redefining how users engage with the metaverse and extended reality, has joined forces with LaLiga, the premier Spanish football league. This strategic alliance positions Vuz as the exclusive official immersive content partner of LaLiga in the MENA region for the next three years, ushering in an interactive football experience for fans.
The partnership aims to captivate football enthusiasts with a continuous stream of immersive content on the Vuz platform, introducing LaLiga in an entirely new dimension.
Commenting on the deal, Khaled Zaatarah, Founder and CEO of Vuz, said: “We are absolutely thrilled to join forces with LaLiga and embark on this exciting journey of innovation and immersion. Our mission has always been to transform how people connect with their passions, and through this partnership, we are poised to elevate the LaLiga experience for football fans.”
Vuz will curate and create immersive content spanning virtual reality (VR), augmented reality (AR), and other interactive formats, enabling fans to interact with each other in virtual spaces, and transcending traditional fandom boundaries.
Maite Ventura, Managing Director – Middle East and North Africa at LALIGA, commented: “The MENA audience has shown remarkable growth as LaLiga’s fastest-expanding fan base. The region’s fervent football passion has been our driving force for years, as we tirelessly strive to bring our leagues closer to these dedicated fans. Now, in partnership with Vuz, we are elevating the fan experience to unprecedented levels, allowing all our supporters to immerse themselves in the league like never before. This partnership demonstrates LALIGA’s objective of reaching new and broader audiences while looking for innovative ways to engage with fans in the region. It is another example of LaLiga’s continued search for meaningful digital experiences with our fans.”
Vuz, formerly known as 360Vuz, has earned acclaim as the Tech Company of the Year, securing over $30m in funding from investors like e& Capital, Caruso Ventures, Dubai Future District Fund, SRMG, and others. Leveraging its extensive infrastructure, the immersive media platform plans to expand globally.
As the GSM Association reports that 55% of the global population owns smartphones, and with the MENA region exhibiting a burgeoning interest in football and gaming, this collaboration is poised to leverage Vuz’s technological expertise and LaLiga’s footballing legacy to redefine the fan experience and celebrate the beautiful game.
