As a part of Canons involvement as sponsor of the 48 Hour Film Project Dubai edition, contest, participants received access to Canon equipment, skillset training, and professional services during the 48-hour shooting period. Canon offered camera loans, check and clean services, and cinematography workshops to all participants. Canon understands that the prohibitive cost of some equipment is a hindrance to creativity. To help mitigate this, we ran workshops that are all part of our Canon Professional Services (CPS) offerings, which also includes priority repairs. CPS enables film-makers to tell their stories in the most creative manner possible, without having to worry about the associated costs, said Venkatasubramanian Hariharan, Business Unit Director, B2C, Canon Middle East.
