Yahlive has witnessed 100% growth in viewership over a period of two years with current audience reach standing at 51 million viewers, according to the latest research report published by Ipsos Connect an international media, brands and communication advisory company. The report shows Yahlive as the most popular satellite broadcast provider for Farsi-speaking viewers across the Middle East and South West Asia for the third year in a row.
The report found that the total number of viewers of Farsi content over DTH (direct-to-home) and terrestrial networks grew from 39 million to more than 51 million. This increase has been attributed to the premium content Yahlive has on offer for the Farsi community and technical excellence in terms of signal power and reliability.
Currently, out of 66% of the Farsi speaking population that receives satellite channels at home, 60% opt for Yahlive services. Hence, Yahlives DTH market penetration figure is remarkably high with a total of 34,574,400 viewers enjoying compelling and original content every day.
According to the research, a significant factor for the consistent growth in Yahlives market share is that customers are satisfied with the programming and satellite signal quality; and are more likely to recommend Yahlive, to friends and family, than those individuals who use other broadcast services. Additionally, a network of highly relevant Farsi language channels enables Yahlive to have the highest retention ratio of 82% in the market.
Commenting on the latest research, Sami Boustany, Chief Executive Officer at Yahlive said: We are committed to ensuring that our customers are continuously satisfied. Through our state-of-the-art, high capacity Yahsat satellite, Y1A, which delivers a very strong signal that is not easily disrupted, we are able to provide seamless broadcast transmission across a wide coverage area. We also focus on working with our network of broadcasters to delivering quality programming and truly differentiated content that has been tailored according to the evolving market needs.
In undertaking the research, Ipsos Connect conducted quantitative research, using computer assisted telephone interviews (CATI). A well-structured Farsi questionnaire of approximately 10 minutes in length was utilised, and a total sample of 1200 successful interviews were included for the analysis in the report.
