She hopes that audiences across the Middle East will engage with the humanity of the story through its captivating characters and interactive storytelling technique.
Content Development Manager of Yahoo! Maktoob, Muna Ismail, is very excited to be bringing this new series to Yahoo! Maktoob, building their portfolio of original programming.
Were thrilled to have partnered with Batoota Films, says Ismail, leveraging their great experience in Web production to create a series that we can extend to our large audience across our network.
The story of Fasateen is focuses on three women living in Beirut; Aliya, Lama and Karma.
Single mother Aliya is always concerned about the happiness and welfare of her son Ziad, especially without his father around. Lama lives a luxurious yet very lonely life with her husbands money, keeping herself busy shopping, at the salon and at the womans committee.
The youngest of the three is independent and strong-willed Karma, who fights to get her parents to accept her boyfriend for what he is, and not where he comes from.
