Yango Play boasts an array of entertainment options, including exclusive premieres of Arabic and international movies and series, personalised music streaming and interactive mini-games.
Yango, renowned for tailoring global technologies to meet local needs, has launched Yango Play in Jordan. This service is the first AI-powered entertainment platform to combine video streaming, music, and mini-games in one place.
Yango Play offers a wide range of entertainment options, including exclusive premieres of Arabic and international movies and series, personalised music streaming, and interactive mini-games, all enhanced by Yasmina, an AI-based Arabic voice assistant. Available on smartphones and TVs, the service provides cross-platform access for subscribers in Jordan.
A standout feature of Yango Play is My Vibe, part of the Music section, which adapts to the user’s music preferences in real-time. Unlike traditional static playlists, My Vibe uses an advanced recommendation algorithm that considers over a thousand variables, aligning with the listener’s selected preferences, mood, and historical interactions. To celebrate the launch in Jordan, Yango Play introduces a special gaming section and a music section featuring Jordanian timeless hits and Jordanian Nights.
Yasmina, the bilingual AI assistant, enhances the user experience by interacting in both Arabic and English. Fluent in Khaleeji and major Arabic dialects, Yasmina can suggest songs, engage in conversations, play Surahs from the Holy Quran, provide the current Hijri calendar date, and answer various questions, from today’s weather to prayer times worldwide.
Yango Play has a lineup of exclusive films premiering during Eid Al Adha. Shekko, an action-comedy directed by Karim Al Sobky and starring Amr Youssef, Mohamed Mamdouh, Amina Khalil, Yosra, and Dina El-Sherbiny, will be available. Additionally, the romantic comedy Fasel Men EL Lahazat El Lazeeza, directed by Ahmed Al Gendy and featuring Hesham Maged, Hana El Zahed, and Mohamed Tharwat, will premiere, including the song Ya Abn AlMahzuza by Ahmed Saad.
Yango Play allows users to build their personalised City within the app, completing quests like watching movies or playing games to unlock exclusive buildings and characters. From June 16 to June 23, users who log in will receive an Eid sheep decoration to enhance their city. Additionally, to commemorate the launch in Jordan, users will receive a Petra decoration, adding a touch of Jordanian heritage to their virtual city.
New users joining the Yango Play super app receive a 30-day free trial, followed by a subscription plan priced at $2.99 per month for iOS and 2.1 JOD per month for Android. This subscription provides unlimited access to Yango Play’s extensive library of exclusive content, personalised music streaming, interactive mini-games, and an AI-powered experience.
Commenting on the launch of the super app, Roman Shimansky, MENA Region Business Director at Yango Play, said: “We are thrilled to bring Yango Play to Jordan, offering a revolutionary entertainment experience that combines video streaming, music, and mini-games all powered by advanced AI technology. Our goal is to provide users with a diverse and personalised entertainment journey, enriched by exclusive content. We look forward to enhancing the entertainment landscape in Jordan and connecting audiences with the best of regional and international content.”
