YouTube Chief Business Officer Robert Kyncl is leaving the company in October after 12 years of service.
Google President of global customer solutions Mary Ellen Coe will take over the role of Chief Business Officer at YouTube starting in early October. Kyncl will temporarily stay at YouTube to help with the transition.
Kyncl tweeted: “After 12 incredible years, I’ve decided to move on to the next challenge soon. Working alongside creators, artists, media and music companies to transform media has been a privilege.”
Kyncl has been involved with YouTube’s various forays (and retreats) from original programming over the years, including the launch of its paid subscription service, YouTube Premium.
Prior to joining YouTube in 2010, Kyncl spent seven years as VP of content at Netflix, where he oversaw content partnerships for the streaming giant.
