Zain, the digital service provider in Kuwait has launched an exclusive Amazon Prime Video offer for the first time in Kuwait. Zain will provide its customers with movies and TV shows on its network, including Prime Originals and TV series.
Postpaid and prepaid Zain customers can subscribe to Prime Video without the need of using a credit card or additional payment methods, the release stated.
Commenting on the launch, Zain Kuwaits Chief Commercial Officer Meshal Mohammed said: We jointly announce the launch of an exclusive offer featuring Amazon Prime Video for the first time in Kuwait. This launch is a continuation of the distribution agreement we signed with Amazon last October during our participation at the 38th edition of The Gulf Information Technology Exhibition (GITEX Technology Week 2018) in Dubai.
Meshal Mohammed added: At Zain, we are committed to further reinforces our portfolio of innovative services and solutions in the digital entertainment area, especially with the high demand witnessed by this sector via Video on Demand (VOD) and Over the Top (OTT) services in place of traditional media channels.
Tim Leslie, Vice President, Amazon Prime Video International, added: We want Prime Video customers to be able to enjoy watching all their favourite TV shows where and when they want. Were delighted that the addition of Prime Video on Zain allows even more customers the opportunity to watch their favorite Prime Originals and popular TV shows and movies, both in the home or on the move.
The primary collaboration between the two companies was announced during Zains participation at GITEX 2018 last October in Dubai.
