The two companies previously agreed to launch FilmBox Arthouse, Gametoon, FightBox, Fast&FunBox, FashionBox, and 360 TuneBox on ZAP's satellite platform two years ago.
SPI International has joined forces with ZAP, a leading digital satellite television provider catering to audiences in Angola, Mozambique, and Cape Verde. This partnership marks the introduction of Dizi, a Turkish drama channel, to these regions.
Dizi, which has been gaining traction across various global markets, presents a curated array of highly acclaimed Turkish drama series.
In a significant development resulting from this collaboration, subscribers of ZAP’s Mini+ package will now have access to Dizi’s content, complete with Portuguese subtitles. This addition further enriches the entertainment offerings for ZAP subscribers, who already have the advantage of accessing SPI’s FightBox, Fast&FunBox, and FashionBox channels.
Commenting on the deal, Georgina Twiss, MD Western Europe and Africa of SPI International, said: ”We are thrilled to bring Dizi to the audiences in Angola, Mozambique, and Cape Verde and to build on our existing partnership with ZAP. This channel is a great addition to diversify our content offering through ZAP that already includes three other thematic channels FightBox, Fast&FunBox and FashionBox from the SPI/FilmBox portfolio.”
Dizi also extended its reach in Africa via a deal with StarTimes in April.
