ZEE5 has announced an upcoming web series, based on stories written by Padma Bhushan, Padma Shri awardee and renowned author, Ruskin Bond. Titled PARCHAYEE Ghost Stories by Ruskin Bond. Each episode in the series will be based on handpicked tales written by Ruskin Bond and will be produced by Banijay Asia & Opus Communication.
On the collaboration, Ruskin Bond said: “Whenever I run out of people to write about, I cook up a few ghosts. Or they appear before me! I am happy that my stories are coming alive for the first time on a digital platform and I look forward to watching them on ZEE5. I hope my readers will enjoy the series.”
National award-winning directors including V.K. Prakash and Aniruddha Roy Chowdhury among others, have been brought on board to bring to life these chilling tales. The first four episodes will be based on popular stories The Ghost in the Garden and The Wind on Haunted Hill, which will be directed by V.K Prakash, while Wilson’s Bridge and The Overcoat will be directed by Aniruddha Roy Chowdhury.
