The Optimo Prime series will complete the Angenieux FF zoom lens offer, including the Optimo Ultra 12x. The Optimo Prime series of 12 lenses provides full frame 46.5mm image circle coverage with a consistent 1.8 T-stop (except on extremes).

Focal lengths include 18mm, 21mm, 24mm, 28mm, 32mm, 40mm, 50mm, 60mm, 75mm, 100mm, 135mm, 200mm and will be manufactured both in France and Germany. The prototypes were presented at Cinegear, in Los Angeles last month.
The Optimo Prime series has been developed on the same business model settled for the EZ series, in partnership with two major sales stakeholders of the market: Band Pro in the US and Jebsen Cinecast in China.
Sales and distribution of the new Optimo Prime lenses will be handled in the Americas by Band Pro; in Europe, Africa, India and Middle-East by Angenieux, and in Asia-Pacific by Jebsen.
