The Orbiter Beam is available in black and can already be preordered.
ARRI has unveiled the Orbiter Beam, marking the debut of the first beam optic in its LED lighting selection. This accessory comes with a newly developed optical concept specifically tailored for the reflector. Boasting an intensity level comparable to the ARRI Daylight M-Series M18 but with a tighter beam angle, the Orbiter Beam achieves these high-intensity values using a high-quality full-colour spectrum LED source, making it the brightest full-colour LED spotlight currently available on the market. Its parallel beam light design is suited for cinematic applications, whether for long throw distances or indirect bouncing.
The Orbiter Beam’s new optic delivers a defined and powerful 4° parallel light beam with homogeneous light distribution. Suitable for simulating distant natural lights, this optic, when paired with the versatile Orbiter fixture, becomes a filmmaker’s go-to choice for recreating the natural light of the sun or moon in film projects.
Featuring a large aperture housed in a compact (approx. 573 mm x 548 mm x 548 mm / 22.6 in x 21.6 in x 21.6 in) and lightweight (5.9 kg / 13 lbs.) casing, the Orbiter Beam offers convenience without compromising performance. The reflector’s diameter of 530 mm (20.9 in) is similar in size to the M90 luminaire. Additionally, the optic’s two elements—the reflector and snoot—can be easily separated and stacked for storage and transport. The Orbiter Beam includes a unique manual hot-spot adjustment for varying from hard to soft edge light, complementing the existing Orbiter Open Face optics 15°, 30°, and 60°.
Due to Orbiter’s Quick Lighting Mount (QLM) system, users can securely and swiftly mount the Orbiter Beam. Any Orbiter equipped with firmware LiOS2 or later is ready to operate the Orbiter Beam seamlessly.
Available in black, the Orbiter Beam is already open for preorders.
