Bolin’s NDI Embedded Bridge technology will be on display at the company’s NAB 2025 booth.
Bolin has announced expanded support for NDI 6 with a range of NDI-enabled cameras and decoders that feature fully functioning support for Embedded Bridge. Bolin’s R9 series of indoor NDI PTZ cameras, its SD, EX and EXU lines of outdoor NDI PTZ cameras, and its EG40N NDI High Bandwidth and HX3 decoder now all support Embedded Bridge.
Introduced with NDI 5.0 in June 2021, NDI Bridge is a free tool that allows users to connect NDI networks from different locations across the public internet, creating a significant advancement for remote production workflows using NDI. To function, NDI Bridge requires PCs running NDI Bridge software on each network, with at least one in Host mode and the rest in Join mode. This way, the host NDI network establishes a two-way connection to the remote NDI networks, connecting all the infrastructures.
The release of NDI 6 introduced Embedded Bridge, an enhancement to NDI Bridge that enables a remote NDI device to join an NDI Bridge host without a PC on that network running Bridge software. The bridged connection is bi-directional and transmits encrypted video, audio, and metadata to and from the NDI device.
Kyle Lo, CEO of Bolin Technology, said: “Bolin’s industry-leading NDI Embedded Bridge technology integration simplifies remote workflows by transmitting high-fidelity video directly over IP networks and WANs. This reduces technical complexity and ensures reliable, low-latency feeds, delivering a stable and easily scalable production. We are eager for broadcasters to see the advantages of NDI 6 in our PTZ cameras and NDI decoders, especially Embedded Bridge’s capability and flexibility.”
