Calrec Audio will launch customer-driven Automixer function on the Apollo and Artemis consoles in the Middle East during CABSAT 2013. Available as a free upgrade, this facility enables up to eight automatic mic mixers to be deployed to reduce colouration and ensure a consistent output level in scenarios with unpredictable audio content.
Automixer attenuates the output levels of all channels under its control to maintain consistent programme levels in environments with multiple open microphones and unpredictable audio content. The feature is especially useful on panel-style discussion shows where guests might speak over each other and dramatically raise their voices.
Other new features include External Input Meters and Moveable PFL and Metering, which give users an even greater ability to configure the console to their individual requirements.
Were adding several new features to our Apollo and Artemis audio consoles in response to customer demand, says Anthony Harrison, Sales Manager for the Middle East and Africa, Calrec.
In addition to the powerful processing engine and router which Calrec is renowned for, we have been working on a host of powerful new tools to simply manage control rooms and studio resources.
