Canford will be launching their recently acquired ES brand of 19 inch rack enclosures and a broad range of rack accessories plus the latest additions to their range of 3G HDTV cables and interconnects at IBC for the first time. They will also feature their own new fibre patching and connection products and new additions to their fibre routing and interconnection range from AFP (Advanced Fiber Products). The show will also see a first for the broadcast industry, a new type of catalogue browsing which Canford will launch at the show.
Canford is to launch a new range of preconfigured racks and enclosures under their ES brand at IBC. The new range will offer enclosures of up to 47U height and up to 1000mm depth making the racks capable of accommodating the most bulky of servers and broadcast equipment. The preconfigured racks will feature additional, adjustable, intermediate rack strips located between the front and rear rack strips. This will enable the location of support angles or the mounting of additional equipment to the centre and rear that does not require immediate accessibility. A comprehensive array of high quality supporting accessories will also be available including a choice of over 300 hundred powering units, trays, shelves, fans, plinths, doors, panels etc. In fact Canford proudly state they list everything an engineer could need to build a 19 inch rack, right down to the nuts bolts and washers. The racks will either come pre-assembled or in flat-pack form for assembly onsite in awkward locations.
Canfords newly released extended performance 3Gb/s HD video cables permitting longer transmission distances will also be seen at IBC for the first time. The new SDV-X (standard) and SDV-L-X (low loss) cables both deliver gains over standard SDV cable types whilst conforming to and exceeding the requirements of SMPTE 292M and SMPTE 424M. The cables are available in Canfords trademarked LFH (Low Fire Hazard) versions to help meet current building regulations.
